William J. Carmody is a partner in the firm’s Greensboro office. Bill’s practice focuses on investment management related matters across the range of their legal needs. He routinely advises sponsors in the formation and structuring of their private equity and private credit funds. He also has a broad-based M&A practice, and has extensive experience in handling the acquisition and disposition of portfolio companies, real estate and other assets on behalf of his fund clients. He counsels clients in connection with debt and equity financing transactions, as well as operating credit facilities. Bill also routinely represents select institutional investors with respect to their investments in private funds in emerging markets. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Bill was a partner in the commercial real estate group at Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington, D.C., where he had practiced since 1994.
