Anthony Fawcett is Counsel in our markets and trading practice group based in our New York office. He specializes in financial regulation and bankruptcy risk.
Prior to joining the firm in October 2008, Anthony gained wide experience as a banking and insolvency lawyer at Wilde Sapte in London before joining Linklaters in 2000 where he advised on the impact of new legislation and developed legal training and research programs. During that period he was involved in several lobbying efforts on behalf of the financial services industry in Europe relating to legislation such as the Financial Collateral Directive, the implementation of the new Basel Accord, the Prospectus Directive and several major amendments to the UK’s insolvency regime. He moved to Linklaters’ New York office in May 2005. He has a wide variety of experience in the financial markets in London and New York ranging from insolvency and general banking work to securities regulation and OTC derivatives.
