Lee Hamilton is a partner in our Greensboro, North Carolina office. Lee’s practice is focused on assisting a variety of clients, from private equity firms to insurance companies, with various corporate transactions, including the acquisition and disposition of real estate investments, business and other assets. Lee has extensive experience advising borrowers and lenders in various secured lending transactions, and in negotiating debt facilities for private equity fund clients with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Before he joined the firm in November 2007, Lee was with Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney, Australia, where he was a legal adviser in the Banking and Finance practice group. Lee also previously practiced as an associate at Baker Botts L.L.P. in Washington, DC.
A native of central North Carolina, Lee graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in physics. He received his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 2004, where he was an executive editor of the Chicago Journal of International Law.
